- 1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 8 oz goat cheese, softened
- 12 fresh figs, sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- In a skillet over medium heat, combine the sliced figs, honey, and balsamic vinegar. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring gently, until the figs are softened and caramelized.
- Spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each crostini.
- Top with the caramelized figs.
- Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
