Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly and dry them.
- Insert wooden sticks into the top of each apple.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Quickly dip each apple into the caramel, swirling to coat evenly.
- Place the dipped apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Allow the caramel to set for about 30 minutes before serving.
