- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Dredge each slice of bacon in the brown sugar mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Lay the bacon strips in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add maple syrup to the brown sugar mixture.
- Keep an eye on the bacon in the last few minutes of baking to prevent burning.
