  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  4. Dredge each slice of bacon in the brown sugar mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  5. Lay the bacon strips in a single layer on the wire rack.
