These Brown Butter Snickerdoodle Bars are soft, chewy, and packed with the warm flavors of cinnamon and brown butter. Perfect for any occasion!

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it becomes golden brown and nutty in aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
