This delicious blackberry crisp combines sweet and tart blackberries with a crunchy oat topping, perfect for a summer dessert.

- 4 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine blackberries, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well and pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Spread the oat mixture evenly over the blackberry filling in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar over the topping.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbling.
- Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- You can substitute fresh blackberries with frozen ones, just make sure to thaw and drain them first.
