Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down, and cook for about 2 to 2.5 hours, turning occasionally.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce every 10 minutes until they are caramelized and sticky.
  7. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, you can wrap the ribs in foil during the last hour of cooking.
  • Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce or make your own.
