- 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are softened.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or peas for extra nutrition.
