Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef strips and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are softened.
  5. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
