Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve the beef stir-fry over cooked rice.
