- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, paprika, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated patty around the skewer.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Place the skewers on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kofta are cooked through and have a nice char.
- Serve hot with pita bread, yogurt sauce, and fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the kofta in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking.
