A delicious beef burrito recipe that’s easy to make and packed with flavor.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup refried beans
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Sour cream and guacamole for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and a little water as directed on the seasoning packet. Cook for a few minutes until thickened.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the refried beans, cooked rice, and salsa.
- To assemble the burritos, lay a tortilla flat and spread a scoop of the beef mixture in the center.
- Add a scoop of the rice and bean mixture, and top with shredded cheese.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up from the bottom to form a burrito.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
- If desired, grill the burritos in a skillet or on a panini press until golden and crispy.
- Serve with sour cream and guacamole.
Notes
- Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings such as jalapeños, lettuce, or diced tomatoes.
- For a spicier burrito, add some diced green chilies to the beef mixture.
