Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make beef and broccoli stir-fry that is perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes without stirring until the beef is browned. Stir-fry until cooked through.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Return the broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another minute until heated through.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.
