Ingredients

  • 4 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Season the short ribs generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, beef broth, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Place the seasoned short ribs on the grill or smoker, bone side down.
  5. Cook the ribs for about 3 hours, basting with the BBQ sauce mixture every hour.
  6. After 3 hours, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and continue cooking for another 2 hours.
  7. Unwrap the ribs and baste with more BBQ sauce, then cook for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until the ribs are tender and the internal temperature reaches 200°F (93°C).
  8. Remove from the grill, let rest for 10 minutes, then serve with additional BBQ sauce.
