bbq ribs on the grill: 5 Steps to Perfectly Tender Ribs

  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Tender, juicy BBQ ribs cooked to perfection on the grill, slathered in your favorite barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, covering both sides.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Close the lid and cook for about 2 hours, flipping halfway through.
  5. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with your barbecue sauce, turning occasionally to caramelize the sauce.
  6. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight in the spice rub.
  • Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce or make your own.
  • Cooking times may vary based on your grill and the size of the ribs.
