- 3–4 pounds pork shoulder (bone-in or boneless)
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 12 slider buns (soft and fresh)
- 2 cups coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
- to taste salt (for seasoning the pork)
- to taste pepper (for seasoning the pork)
- 1 tablespoon onion powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your slow cooker or oven to 300°F (150°C).
- If using a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder inside and season generously with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Pour 1 cup of BBQ sauce over the pork, cover, and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- If using an oven, place the seasoned pork in a roasting pan, cover with foil, and roast for about 4-5 hours until tender.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the heat and let it rest for 15 minutes before shredding.
- Shred the pork using two forks, mixing it with the remaining BBQ sauce.
- To assemble the sliders, place a generous scoop of pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with coleslaw, and cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight with your favorite spices.
- Feel free to use leftover pulled pork for other meals like tacos or nachos.
