- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and browned.
- Flip the chicken thighs over and brush BBQ sauce on the cooked side. Close the grill lid and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken again, brush more BBQ sauce, and continue grilling for an additional 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for a few hours or overnight before grilling.
- You can use boneless, skinless chicken thighs if you prefer; adjust cooking time accordingly.
