  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and browned.
  5. Flip the chicken thighs over and brush BBQ sauce on the cooked side. Close the grill lid and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken again, brush more BBQ sauce, and continue grilling for an additional 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
