- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs and drumsticks, ensuring they are well coated.
- Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- For extra caramelization, you can broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
