- 2 cans (15 oz each) of navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, BBQ sauce, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined.
- Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the beans are bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked bacon or sausage for a meaty variation.
- You can adjust the amount of BBQ sauce according to your taste preference.
