Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill or broiler.
  8. Unwrap the ribs and brush with BBQ sauce on both sides.
  9. Grill or broil the ribs for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
  10. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight.
  • Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce for a personalized touch.
  • You can also cook the ribs in a slow cooker for a more hands-off approach.
