Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15-30 minutes.
- Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey or maple syrup, and sesame seeds to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss the marinated tofu cubes in cornstarch to coat them evenly.
- Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
- Air fry the tofu for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Check for a golden-brown color to ensure perfect crispiness.
- Remove the tofu bites from the air fryer and serve immediately with extra sesame glaze if desired.
