  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These air fryer ribs are incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection in a fraction of the time it takes to make them in the oven or on the grill. With a sweet and smoky dry rub and a quick cook time, you’ll have delicious ribs ready to eat in no time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption and tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating on both sides.
  5. Cut the ribs into smaller sections if necessary to fit in the air fryer basket.
  6. Place the ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Cook the ribs for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
  8. If desired, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking for an extra layer of flavor.
  9. Remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra tender ribs, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, checking for doneness.
  • Feel free to experiment with your favorite spices or BBQ sauce for different flavor profiles.
  • These ribs can be served with coleslaw, cornbread, or your favorite side dishes.
