Ingredients
Scale
- 1 jar dill pickles (slices or spears)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Drain the pickles and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, whisked eggs in another bowl, and mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Dredge each pickle slice first in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each pickle is evenly coated.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches.
- Spray the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the pickles are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add cayenne pepper or your favorite seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture.
- If using whole pickles, slice them into 1/4 inch thick slices for even cooking.
- You can store leftover pickles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, but they are best eaten fresh.
