Description
Deliciously crispy chicken made in the air fryer, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, soak the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let the excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the coated chicken thighs in the basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot and enjoy your crispy chicken!
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, let the chicken sit for a few minutes after coating before cooking.
- You can use chicken breasts or drumsticks instead of thighs, adjusting the cooking time accordingly.
