Description

Delicious air fryer churros that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Let the mixture cool slightly, then beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Pipe 4-inch strips of dough onto parchment paper, cut to size.
  7. Place the churros in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  8. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with cinnamon in a bowl.
  10. Coat churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture after cooking.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the dough.
  • Serve with chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping.
