Description
Crispy, homemade potato chips made effortlessly in the air fryer. Perfectly seasoned and healthier than traditional fried chips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet recommended)
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (Optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika (Optional for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with a clean towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Place a single layer of potato slices in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Air fry the potato slices for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
- Remove the chips and let them cool slightly before serving. Repeat with the remaining slices.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, make sure to dry the potato slices thoroughly after soaking.
- Experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or chili powder for unique flavors.
- Store leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
