Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  3. Poke several holes in each potato with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  4. Rub the olive oil over each potato and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.
  5. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  6. Cook for 35-40 minutes, turning the potatoes halfway through, until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the potato.
  7. Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  8. Cut a slit in the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary based on the size of the potatoes.
  • For extra crispy skin, increase the cooking time by a few minutes.
  • You can also wrap the potatoes in foil before cooking if you prefer softer skin.
