Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Pickles
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
- Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the grilled patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and your favorite condiments.
- Optional: Sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles on top for a festive touch.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your 4th of July burgers!
Notes
- Feel free to customize your burger toppings with avocado, bacon, or different cheeses.
- For a spicy kick, consider adding jalapeños or sriracha sauce.
