- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat or prepare a smoker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
- Place the ribs on the grill or in the smoker, bone side down.
- Cook for 2-3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature, until the ribs are tender.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the BBQ sauce over the ribs, allowing it to caramelize.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, wrap the ribs in foil after the first hour of cooking.
- Feel free to experiment with different BBQ sauces for unique flavors.
